Family Fun in California- American Girl Place
When most people think of a California vacation they probably think of Disneyland and Sea World. While both are fun family destinations, there are many other family friendly locations. From museums to aquariums you will find a variety of fun activities in California. Our family travelled to California to review a variety of activities. If your little girl loves American Girl dolls, then American Girl Place is a must-see place to visit in Los Angeles. This two story store is devoted entirely to American Girl doll collections. Even if you do not intend to purchase a new doll or AG item, it is fun just looking at the many doll displays. The store is clean and bright, as is the shopping district it is located in.
Bring along your American Girl doll and visit the hair salon or photo studio (both have an additional charge). There is also a cafe on site which
offers pre-set meal times each day (reservations are required- lunch, afternoon tea and dinner are usually served). The meals are fairly pricey; ranging from $20 to $24 per person. There is no reduced rate for children.
The store is located in a shopping center with a parking structure (called The Grove). If you park there be sure to take your ticket to American Girl Place to have it validated.
As a side note, there are many child friendly stores in the shopping center and there is a beautiful fountain near the entrance to the parking structure that coordinates the water feature to music. The kids really enjoyed stopping to watch it.
