If you are planning a trip to the beautiful Royal Gorge, definitely plan a visit to Buckskin Joe Frontier Town and Railway.  The Scenic Railway provides one of the most amazing views of the Royal Gorge as it rides near the edge of the Gorge.  Afterwards take a step back in time and enjoy a walk down a replicated Frontier Main Street.  The buildings are all either from the original town of Buckskin Joe or neighboring pioneer towns.   One of the kids' favorite buildings was the slanted house;  trying to walk across the slanted room was quite a challenge!  Take a walk through the old mine or stop to witness a gunfight in the street.  There is a restaurant on site;  be sure to stop in at the saloon for a refreshing drink!
