Visiting the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs Colorado

If you are going to be in Colorado Springs, take a few hours to stop at the Air Force Academy.  Learn more about the history of the Air Force and the Air Force Academy at the informative visitor's center.  Lots of displays to look at (not much hands-on so the kids were ready to move through this pretty quickly).   Take a short walk along a nature path to the distinctive Academy Chapel.  Watch along the path and you might see some chipmunks and other wildlife.  There is a gift shop and sandwich shop in the visitor's center.

For security reasons, there are no backpacks or large bags allowed in the visitor's center, chapel or nature trail.
