Family Fun in Colorado Springs- North Pole

Looking for a child-friendly amusement park without the crowds of larger parks?  Then the North Pole is probably perfect for you.  For generations families have enjoyed this Christmas-themed amusement park at the base of Pikes Peak.  This is probably one of my children's favorite places!

The rides are appropriate for a variety of age groups, from an antique carousel and mini roller coaster to the Scrambler and Tilt-a-Whirl.  We like the fact that they often have a ride for the older children and a ride for the younger children next to each other;  so they can all ride at one time!  During the summer there are usually lines at the rides but they are not very long.  Other times of year and during the weekdays there are often almost no lines at all.

There are reindeer, llamas and goats to see.  You can feed the goats from feed available at pay-dispensers nearby.  They also have hand sanitizer stations available for after feeding.

Scattered throughout the village are shops and restaurants.  The park gives everyone a card when they enter.  You put all of your purchases on that card and pay for everything (except admission) upon leaving.  It's nice not to have to keep paying throughout the park, but you have to be sure to keep close track of the cards.

Be sure to visit Santa's house to visit with Santa and stop by the ever frozen North Pole.

This park is built on the side of a mountain so there are some hills to climb.  It is paved, so technically stroller friendly.  But it can be a bit of a challenge to push the stoller to some of the areas.
