Learn About Farming at Miller Farms
Miller Farms is a functioning family farm. It is a great place to help your children learn about agriculture. Their hayrides (available for a few months of the year) take you through the fields where you are able to stop and pick some produce. There is also a petting zoo, giant slide, hay maze, hay pyramid and other various activities to keep kids busy. There is a Farmer's Market and picnic area.
The kids especially loved being able to pick some vegetables; even beets suddenly became appealing when they picked them! The hay pyramid is also a favorite since all ages enjoyed climbing it. One negative is the price which can add up for a family and the fact that the fields can be quite picked over on some visits. Some of the areas are not very stroller friendly due to ruttiness of the ground.
