FAMILY FRIENDLY CONS- Some of the displays (and the reading involved) were boring for the younger children so they wanted to rush through areas that parents and older children would have liked to have had more time in. |

Have you heard of or visited Insectropolis, the Bugseum of New Jersey in Toms River, NJ? It's a really fun and unique insect museum. It's set within the architecture of a bug-themed city, with very creative displays.
You can view thousands of beautiful and bizarre exotic insects from all over the world. Play bug games on our touch-screen computers. Pretend you are a termite as you crawl through our mudtube. Watch ants forage for food and build tunnels in our live ant nest. Safely get up close to our observation hive and see our busy bees. Or spy on our many other live insects. You can also touch a live bug (if you dare), such as a live tarantula, scorpion, millipede, and hissing cockroach.
It's a really fun family friendly place. Their summer hours are Mon - Sat 10am - 2pm. They have special events on Saturdays throughout the summer. It's great for those rainy days too!
