COST:  FREE
HOURS:  Daily 9 am - 5 pm (chapel is closed to public on Sunday)

Best for a family with older children.  Learn more about the history of the Air Force and the Air Force Academy at the informative visitor's center.  Take a short walk along a path to the distinctive Academy Chapel.  Sandwich shop in the visitor's center.

FAMILY FRIENDLY PROS-   The children were interested in some of the displays in the visitor's center.  The walk to the chapel was a favorite as they tried to spot chipmunks.
FAMILY FRIENDLY CONS-  The displays in the visitor's center did not keep the interest of the younger children for very long.  It was difficult for the adult's and older children to spend the required time to really enjoy the displays since the younger ones were quickly ready to "move on".
