Family Fun Activity in Los Angeles, California: American Girl Place

This is a two story store devoted entirely to American Girl doll collections. Even if you do not intend to purchase a new doll or AG item, it is fun just looking at the many doll displays. Bring along your American Girl doll and visit the hair salon or photo studio (both have an additional charge). There is also a cafe on site which  offers pre-set meals each day (reservations are required). The store is located in a shopping center with a parking structure (called The Grove). If you park there be sure to take your ticket to AG Place to have it validated. As a side note, there is a beautiful fountain near the entrance to the parking structure that coordinates the water feature to music. The kids really enjoyed stopping to watch it.FAMILY FRIENDLY PROS- Free to walk around. Very clean and bright. Elevators for strollers. Located in a nice shopping center; great for walking around. Parking is validated. FAMILY FRIENDLY CONS- Everything is rather pricey, especially meals at the cafe. |
