| MONTEZUMA'S CASTLE I-17, exit 289, Camp Verde, Arizona 928.567.3322 www.nps.gov/moca/ COST: Adult (16+)- $5 / Under age 16 Free HOURS: July & Aug: Daily 8 am - 6 pm, Sept - May: Daily 8 am - 5 pm Montezuma's Castle is an ancient Sinaguan Indian ruin, overseen by the National Park Service. The visitor's  center has a small museum and gift shop. Walk the paved trail to see the ruins from a distance (you can not climb in the ruins). The NPS employees were happy to answer questions and provide information on other NPS sites in the area. There are restrooms conveniently located near the parking lot.FAMILY FRIENDLY PROS- Path is stroller friendly. The kids loved to watch along the path for lizards and other wildlife. Informative staff. Reasonably priced. |
